I am a mother of two (not including husband) and a passionate family photographer. I began shooting family portraits after a dear friend heard of my heartbreaking decision to not pursue wildlife photography and he said, "Have you ever tried photographing children? They are just as crazy and as spontaneous as wild animals." I tried it out, and I haven't looked back.
It has been so much fun to capture each child as they truly are, not your typical "My Kid Really Is As Angelic As That Portrait Shows!!" Nah, I follow them and I catch them drop their guard and give me their true character and smile. That is when I snap my shutter, smile and say, "Gotcha"
